How Outdoor Dental Puts Your Safety First
Dr. Patel, your seton dentist, and the Outdoor Dental team are dedicated to keeping your appointments optimally safe, effective, and enjoyable. Every day, we keep ourselves educated regarding new information and safety protocols about COVID-19 as provided by the ADA. Rigorous health & safety has always been of top importance at Outdoor Dental. We continuously reflect this whole-heartedly with our standards of sanitization, infection control, and usage of Personal Protective Wear (PPE).
While we have always maintained strict compliance with ADA rules and regulations, additional preventive measures have been put in place. The following steps are to ensure you and your family are as safe and comfortable as possible when you visit our clinic for your next appointment.
- Every patient is required to sign a COVID-19 consent and symptom testing form.
- Only one patient is allowed in the office at a time.
- Only one patient is allowed in a dental room per day.
- All contact surfaces are wiped thoroughly during and after each appointment
- All members of our team are mandated to wash their hands frequently and wear face masks at all times.
- Hand sanitizer is made available for patients and staff members throughout our practice. All visitors must use hand sanitizer immediately upon arrival and before exiting.
- Our staff members are rotated, and we abide by all recommended social distance guidelines when we are out in public. We continuously monitor ourselves for symptoms.
- Our staff will self-quarantine immediately should symptoms become present or we learn of being in contact, directly or indirectly, with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
Close adherence to the protocols above ensures a safe environment for both our staff and our visitors, keeping your health and well-being are our top priority.
The Importance of Booking Your Next Appointment
Due to the closure of practice to regular treatments over the last few months, it is critical to book follow-up appointments and/or a checkup at your dentist in Calgary. This is to ensure the continuous effective and efficient progress of your previous treatments. In addition, the added stress and anxiety caused by experiencing the pandemic can have a detrimental effect to your dental health, leading to new dental complications that you may not be aware of.
Elevated stress levels often cause you to engage in bad habits that harm your oral health. Some of these habits include grinding and/or clenching your jaw throughout the day and while you are asleep. This exerts pressure onto your teeth that can lead to greater dental complications and bodily pain, such as chronic headaches, trouble-eating, exhaustion and muscle soreness.
During your next checkup, your seton dentist, Dr. Patel, will check for any damage or areas that need attention. He will ensure that the condition of your teeth is optimal for your overall health.
